For those who knew us as Advocats&Dogs, Too!, I’m thrilled to share our rebrand to Messy Brave Pets! This change isn’t just about a new name—it’s about embracing the journey of pet parenting, dog training, and advocacy in a real, raw, and impactful way.

Messy Brave Pets reflects the truth about life with animals—it’s unpredictable, challenging, and absolutely worth it. Whether you’re training a reactive dog, fostering a rescue, or simply navigating the ups and downs of pet ownership, bravery is required. We’re here to support and celebrate that messy, beautiful journey.
How Messy Brave Pets Makes a Difference
I know firsthand how hard it can be to turn a passion for animals into real change. Back in 2009, I dreamed of becoming a world-renowned dog trainer, just like Victoria Stilwell. I studied dog behavior and nutrition extensively, determined to help families and their pets. But I struggled—not because I lacked knowledge, but because I didn’t know how to market myself. That experience taught me a valuable lesson and led me down a different path.
Today, I’m honored to sit on the faculty at Victoria Stilwell Dog Training & Behavior, where I teach professional dog trainers how to market themselves and grow their impact. But my mission has never changed—I’ve always been driven to help dogs, especially those in shelters, get a second chance at life.
Through Messy Brave Pets, we’re expanding that mission even further:
🐾 Supporting Pet Parents & Trainers – We’re creating content and resources to help dog lovers and professionals navigate challenges with confidence.
👕 Apparel & Gear That Gives Back – We’ve launched our Messy Brave Shop full of human + dog gear, where a portion of proceeds goes directly to local animal shelters.
🐶 Encouraging a New Mindset in Dog Training – We want to empower pet parents to train with compassion, patience, and understanding, shifting outdated perspectives on dog behavior.
This isn’t just a brand—it’s a movement to create better lives for pets and the people who love them. We may have changed our name, but our mission remains the same: to make a difference, one brave step at a time.
